'TIME TRAVEL'

 

 


A three day drama, music and movement workshop will take place on Monday 21 to Wednesday 23 July in the School Hall for all aged 12 to 18. It will end with a showcase for parents on the 23rd July from 4pm until 5pm.

The cost is £30 for all three days and it is being run by professional drama and music teachers Wendy Brisbourne and Patience Peplinski. If all goes well they hope to set up a regular after school club in September which will lead to productions.

'STOMP' WORKSHOPS

 


Monday July 28 until Thursday July 31. Run by Disdance, a dance company led by Rambert trained ex-Stomp cast member Pter Francis. Sessions are 10am until 12.30pm for 8 - 11-year-olds, then 1.30pm - 4pm for 12 - 16-year-olds. The cost is £5 a session and anyone is welcome to stay the whole day and join in on the multi activities already being run by the Leisure Centre at an extra cost of £4.50.

On Thursday there will be a performance to which parents are welcome, so anyone wanting to appear in the performance needs to be at their relevant session that day. Otherwise they can come to as many sessions as they like. Ring the leisure centre on 01948 660660 to book a place.

NTC Touring Theatre Company presents 'County Voices'. A feast of tales, some hilarious, some tragic, breathing life back into the words, songs and stories of a Northumbrian stories of a Northumbrian farming family and a way of life lost in the wake of the First World War. 'A vigorously comic dip into a grandparental world of farm workers. The struggle for survival is never far away and neither is the wit that made it bearable' The Guardian. This show toured with Arts Alive ten years ago to great acclaim. Suitable 11+.
Tickets £6 adults, £5 concessions, £4 children, £20 for a family of two adults and up to three children.

C-SCAPE Dance Company presents 'Below'. 'Below' delves into the depths of the Cornish mining industry, telling tales of life above and below the mine. Using C-Scape's accessible and exciting style of storytelling: blending dance, physical theatre, music and film. Below is a powerhouse performance of raw energy and shee physicality. Suitable all ages.
Tickets £6 adults, £5 concessions, £4 children, £20 for a family of two adults and up to three children.



Prices for the shows vary from show to show.

The Talbot Theatre, Hall, Social Area and various rooms are all available for hire at reasonable rates.  We have a Premises License for alcohol to be sold on the premises.
