Children's Activities

We offer a wide range of Activities for Children of all ages during term time and in the holidays.Our aims is to get Children to enjoy sport from an early age so that they carry on playing through into their adult life.No more sitting infront of the TV or playing on Computer games, come down to the Leisure Centre and join in with the activities. Stay Active and Stay Safe.We are registered with Ofsted and we received a 'good' grade on our most recent visit. Activity gallery

We have Early Drop offs and Late Pick Ups available to add convenience to working parents.

The activities run from 10am - 4pm and cost £9 per child. Early drop offs start from 8am and late pick ups go as late as 6pm, an extra cost of £1 per half an hour is needed for staff to cover these times.

Other Clubs

Junior Kick Boxing – Wednesday 6pm-7pm. Come along and join in with children of all ages.

Junior Ju-Jitsu – Tuesday and Thursdays 7pm-8pm.

Football with Sportscape Leisure – Saturdays 9am-10am.

Tae Kwon-Do – Saturdays 10.30am-12noon.

 

OFSTED

We have been registered with Ofsted since August 2005 and are able to take up to 80 5-7 year olds,and as many 8+ year olds as we can handle!

The Ofsted regulations for staff to child ratios is 1 member of staff to every 8 children aged 5-7 years.We aim to have 1 member of staff to every 12 children aged 8+ but there are no Ofsted regulations for this age group.

All staff counted in the above ratios have been checked by the Criminal Records Bureau and hold their Paediatric First Aid Certificate.

The Ofsted Registration Number for Whitchurch Leisure Centre is EY309101.

The Tax Credit system for parents has changed. 9 out of 10 families will be able to claim extra cash to top up their earnings and help towards the cost of bringing up their children.
